Privacy Policy

#Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use DevNotes (https://lunarai.in), how it is used, and the choices you have. DevNotes does not require an account, and we do not ask you for personal information to read the notes.
#Information stored on your device
To make the site work, DevNotes saves a few small items in your browser's local storage:
- which chapters you have marked as read, and the last chapter you opened;
- your light / dark theme choice;
- whether you have already seen a support message for a topic.
This information stays in your browser on your device. It is not sent to us, and you can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
#Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page and the time of the request. This is used to deliver the website, keep it secure and understand overall usage.
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address with Google. See Google's Privacy Policy.
We use GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to count page views (which pages are read, the referring site, browser, screen size and approximate country). GoatCounter does not use cookies, does not track you across websites and does not store your IP address. See GoatCounter's privacy policy.
#Advertising and cookies
DevNotes uses Google AdSense to show advertisements. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices or www.youronlinechoices.eu.
- Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for your consent before personalised ads and related cookies are used. You can change your choice at any time using the privacy / consent link shown on the site.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you do, ads will still appear but will be less relevant to you.
#Payments and donations
Contributions made through the Support page are processed entirely by your UPI app and bank. DevNotes does not see or store your bank or card details. As with any UPI payment, the recipient receives the payer's name and UPI ID along with the transaction details; these are used only to record the contribution and are never sold or shared.
#Emails you send us
If you contact us by email, we use your email address and message only to reply to you and to fix any issue you report.
#Children
DevNotes is intended for a general audience of students and professionals and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
#Your rights
Depending on where you live β for example under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, or the EU / UK GDPR β you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to withdraw consent. Because we hold very little personal information, most data related to your visit is controlled by your browser and by Google; the links above let you manage it. For anything else, contact us at java.dev.thimmaraju@gmail.com.
#Links to other websites
Chapters link to official documentation and other external sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites.
#Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
